This Saturday people in Central Wisconsin and around the nation will be collecting canned food and non-perishable items during the USPS Stamp Out Hunger Drive.
Food items, such as canned meats, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice will be picked up by letter carriers on their routes or at the front desk at the post office.
To help with the drive, residents are encouraged to fill a bag with nonperishable food items and leave it by their mailbox on Saturday.
The annual food drive is led by letter carriers represented by the National Association of Letter Carriers, with the help of rural letter carriers, other postal employees and numerous other volunteers.
