Hundreds of volunteers took to the streets in Wausau Saturday, taking care of those that need a little extra help this fall.
It's the 20th Annual United Way Day of Caring.
Girl Scout Troop 367 spent the morning donating their time, raking leaves in the yards of those who can't.
"We're doing this because we're girl scouts and we're trying to make a difference," said Nicole Montag.
Bag by bag, 360 volunteers cleared lawns all over Wausau. Other groups are working hard in Weston, Schofield, Rib Mountain... and across the country.
"The power of the day is there are millions of people all over the nation on this same day making a difference, doing something valuable," said Shelly Kaiser, director of Volunteer Connection.
Saturday it was warm, but wet. Still, the soggy weather didn't stop rakers from filling dozens of bags of leaves.
