Some students are taking the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful afternoon, by helping their neighbors.
Some Hatley Elementary students visited people and cleaned up their yards. The young students say it feels good to help out their older neighbors, who may have a tough time doing yardwork on their own.
And it's a great opportunity to enjoy a nice spring day.
"We decided that we would clean up peoples' yards because we thought well people have all these dead grasses around so we might want to make it more pretty so that when people come they can see all the wonderful job that we did," says 4th grade student Amber Marten.
3rd, 4th and 5th grade students all took part in the event.
