Hundreds of area residents gathered in downtown Wausau's river district for the Super Saturday Celebration.
It all began with autographs by former Green Bay Packer super star Leroy Butler at Eastbay.
Butler led the parade through downtown Wausau, and the road to the rally was lined with dozens of green and gold floats.
"We worked late nights on the beach ball head and we just finished everything else up today," said Ben Roberts, who built a float.
Roberts and his Dad aren't losing sleep over the Super Bowl, just how to deck out the family van for the parade.
"We had to paint it, let it sit for a day, paint it again, then put the tape and the mask everything on," he said.
As the parade weaved through downtown Wausau, the familiar chant, "Go Pack Go," could be heard for blocks.
"Where I work we took a vote what should we put on it, this was Don's idea and the Steelers are number two was the office's idea," said Marcie Schwalbach, whose float included a port-a-potty and compared the Steelers to "number two."
Her float appropriately won second place.
"Needed an outhouse for our hunting land and just picked it up yesterday and just decided to decorate it and bring it for the parade," she said.
The best floats and best-dressed fans won prizes including HD televisions.
