Crews from the Wausau fire department checked food booths, vendors, and rides to make sure they were safe this morning.

The fire marshal thinks you should leave the fireworks to the pros. Dave Desantis says, "We will help establish the fall out zone and make sure the perimeter stays secure during and for an hour after the shoot and make sure the public isn't in that area."

He recommends keeping your kids near you and if your teens are off with friends make sure they stay in a large group.
