Student-designed art mobiles have been taken down from the Grand Theater, but they're still taking flight.
Mobilizing Our Community is an art and education project that helped more than 400 students design and build mobiles.
They were then built on a larger scale by Kevin Reese, a sculptor.
During the last six weeks, they were on display in the great hall at the Grand. Now they're being spread to various locations throughout the community.
"The response from the community has been extraordinary. We've just had fabulous, fabulous support. Not only from all the art teachers who of course would be excited about the project, but the businesses," Reese said.
The mobiles will be on display for the summer in a variety of offices, shops, and libraries.
