Langlade County's Camp Susan Needs More Money

An area camp that has been a destination for kids, families and church groups for more than 70 years needs some repairs.

Camp Susan, located about 20 miles north of Antigo, is maintained by the Langlade County 4-H Club.

4-H kids use the camp each summer, but the amenities are also rented out to other interested parties.

This year Camp Susan got a new sewer system, and though many donations poured in... $18,000 worth... they still need help paying it off.

"Yes, we're still looking for donations. People have been very generous they've been still coming in... anyone who's ever used the camp here finds something special about it," said Adeline Hess, who's volunteered with the 4-H for 35 years.

She says the camp offers a lifetime of memories for anyone who's spent time there.

The main lodge at the camp also needs a new roof.

Anyone interested in donating can send a check to:
