Strong Winds Take Down Trees In The Area

Large trees fell onto the streets around the area and a few hit power lines. Luckily no one was hurt. But storms will continue throughout the summer season.

After a big storm hits, Wisconsin Public Service leaders say to avoid rushing outside to survey the damage. Instead, stay inside and wait until the coast is clear. You should also keep roadways open for emergency vehicles.

Kelly Zagrzebski of Wisconsin Public Services says, "We run into a big problem where a lot of foks that don't live in the area head through to look at the damage and we really really want to caution people not to do that."

When it comes to storms, you can never be too prepared. Have water, flashlights, batteries, and a radio on hand so you are ready for the worst.

And if a severe thunderstorm is hitting your area make sure you stay inside.
