YWCA Summer Activities

The YWCA Wausau is offering a new workshop specifically for teens who anticipate working during the summer months. The workshop will feature many job seeking topics such as:

-How your looks matter
-Personal mannerisms
-Where to look for a job
-Filling out an application
-Your first paycheck
-Spending & saving tips

The workshop includes a pizza lunch, beverages, and snacks.
Pre-register by June 11 by call the YWCA (715) 842-3381 ext. 101

This event is free to teen job seekers.

What: Teen Job Seekers Workshop
When: June 15, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Where: YWCA, 613 Fifth St., Wausau
Info: Teens 14 years and older

And young men and women may also benefit from the YWCA's Babysitting Workshop.

This event includes training in basic first aid, age-appropriate games and activities, and discipline procedures. Each participant receives a workbook to keep as a reference.
Teens are asked to bring along three items a three-year-old would enjoy playing with.

Pre-registration and pre-payment are required.
Cost is $20 per person for members, and $25 for non-members.
Participants must be at least 10 years of age.
