Cinco de Mayo for Kids!

Sangria's (for kids)
1/2 cup grape juice
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 to 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda
Garnish with orange wedge or lime slice

We found these great plastic (kid-proof) margarita glasses at the Dollar Tree for just $1 each. The Schofield Avenue location in Schofield, had blue and green.

Salsa Rojo
6-8 Roma Tomatoes
(We saved some money by buying these at Pick N Save)
*Many "Cinco de Mayo" items and ingredients were discounted when we shopped on May 4th.
18-24 Serrano Pepper
Recommended-
1 tablespoon salt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
You can adjusted the last ingredients to your taste

Boil the tomatoes and peppers until tender
Place all the ingredients in the blender
Enjoy!

The Dollar Tree also had a two pack of "authentic" plastic Mexican salsa dishes.
We were thrilled to find these!

Walking Taco
Very similar to traditional tacos, as far prep, but have half the mess!
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
12- 1 oz bags of chips

The rest is up to you as far as what you and your family like on tacos
-lettuce
-tomatoes
-sour cream
-cheese

Open the bag of chips, add taco meat, let your kids crunch up the chips and eat!

Try walking tacos by adding the salsa rojo.

Happy Cinco de Mayo from all us on DayBreak
