Tomahawk Fall Ride Runs Through This Weekend

If you're driving through Tomahawk the next few days, be prepared to see a lot of motorcycles. Thousands of bikers are expected to attend the 27th Annual Tomahawk Fall Ride. It not only brings people who are fans of motorcycles together, it also helps raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. About 40,000 motorcyclists are expected to attend the four day event filled with food, music and the latest accessories. One of the events today included the "Bubba Blackwell Stunt Show" at the Harley Davidson plant in Tomahawk, where he amazed the crowds with crazy stunts.

"It's special because Harley Davidson has a long standing relationship with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and it's such an important organization. And all proceeds today at our plant facilities, food and beverage sales go towards MDA and we really encourage everyone to come out and have a good time and support this great organization," said Harley Davidson representative Brita Liebelt.

Other events include concerts and vendor displays at SARA Park in Tomahawk, where all proceeds will go to raise money for the MDA. Organizers expect to raise about $120,000 this year.

And that's not all that's happening to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Tomahawk. The post office has created a special one of a kind Tomahawk cancellation stamp, traced with Dare Devil Bubba Blackwell on his motorcycle. The post office also has two postcards and a limited edition "Fall Ride" stamp. If you are interested in getting a commemorative stamp, all you have to do is go into the local Tomahawk post office and ask. All proceeds will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The special cancellation stamp runs through October 11th.
