A parade of praise graced the streets of Stewart Avenue in Wausau Saturday, In honor of our Nation's men and women in the Armed Forces.

The Annual Memorial Day parade kicked off with residents waiting to cheer our local military men and women on.

The parade included veteran floats, fire trucks, cheerleaders and the Wausau West High School marching band.

Parade watcher Dan Leirman says, “I really like seeing the fire trucks and police cars with the sirens going you know and the military people are dressed up and marching its an exciting point."

Sisters Rachel and Emily Huffcutt say they enjoy other things, "I like the cheerleaders when they were stand up it was kind of fun." Emily Huffcutt says, I like the cheerleaders and the band too."

The event ended at the Wausau VFW for a flag ceremony and laying of two wreaths in honor of fallen soldiers in the military.
