A big national charity benefiting the families of fallen soldiers is getting some much needed local help.

The Snow Ball Express is an organization that creates social opportunities like networking trips to California or Florida for families of killed soldiers.

And now a restaurant in Wausau is helping out those families by donating funds to the snow ball express.

The Pizza Hut on South Avenue is calling it 'Dining to Donate', and for every meal purchased today, the restaurant is donating 15 percent of their sales to the Snow Ball Express, which will help out local families of the fallen.

Mother of three Heidi Dampier says, "Getting the families and children together, to know that they are not alone out there, they do have other kids that are going through the same loss as they are."

Dampier is the widow of Specialist Grant Dampier of Merrill, who died in Iraq in 2006.

She says she wants other families of fallen soldiers to feel the same support she felt during her trip to California.
