Well for area residents collecting rare and hard to get coins seems to top the list of favorite past times.

Especially for the more than 400 people who visited the Wisconsin Valley Coin Club show at the Howard Johnson Hotel today in Wausau.

20 dealers brought their rare coins, unique notes, and treasured finds to display for those both young and old.

President of the Wisconsin Valley Coin Club Mike Rolling says, “Everyone has a different interests and it can go from cents to dollars to notes so ear every can be different."

The annual event draws people in from all over the country and with such a growing interest, just a small show like this one can have up to ten million dollars in merchandise.
