If you walk or drive up Park Road in Rib Mountain and aren't a resident or construction worker, you may be ticketed.
Rib Mountain State Park's manager says several citations have been issued, at up to $200 a pop.
The road is being re-vamped to make room for an 8 foot wide path, sewer, and water facilities.
And it's closed to the public.
"Unfortunately for safety reasons we have had to issue some citations, things we don't like to do but it is for visitor safety that we do that," Bill Bursaw said.
Bursaw couldn't say how many tickets have been issued.
Meanwhile, the construction project is on schedule and under budget.
It's expected to be completed this winter.
The park is still open, and can be accessed through Granite Peak's parking lot, or on Grouse Lane, off of County Road N.
