That's why last year Wausau opened the very first community warming shelter at St. Paul's Community Center downtown. Now the shelter is preparing to open its doors again, this time at a brand new location.
Updated: 10/18/2013 - It's a trip of a lifetime for our nation's heroes. On Monday more than 90 local vets will take off on the 14th mission of The Never Forgotten Honor Flight. While the trip is free to veterans, guardians do have to pay for the honor of escorting them. But thanks to one Merrill business, a local vet and his guardian will both take the trip for free.
