Wisconsin State Fair Starts This Week With New Food Line-up
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin State Fair starts this week and it has quite the selection of new foods.
Among the new items are the deep fried beer, deep fried butter and a bacon sundae.
The deep fried beer will be filled with Michelob AmberBock and has cheddar cheese dipping sauce on the side. The deep fried butter is in a wonton and dunked in powedered sugar.
The bacon sundae will include vanilla ice cream, pancake syrup and bacon bits.
Other new foods include fried mashed potatoes, a deep fried bacon wrapped hot dog and sweet corn jalapeno nuggets.
The State Fair runs from Thursday through Aug. 14 in West Allis.
