The Langlade Co. Fair is now open to the public. The fair runs from July 24th - 28th.
Admission is free. Parking on the grounds will cost you about $5.
While you'll be sure to see all the favorites - carnival rides, fair food, entertainment, and more - but this year fair goers will see a new building on the grounds. The new livestock pavilion was made possible thanks to generous donations from the community and some funds from the county.
Rhonda Klement, the Langlade Co. Fair Coordinator, says, "We now have roll up sides. Our show arena... before if we had a show going on you couldn't walk around in there. There wasn't a lot of bleachers. Now we have very high bleachers so people can get up and see the animals and the exhibitors." Klement says for the most part the building is complete, but they are working on finishing the landscaping around it.
Klement says there are about 300 youth and 150 adult volunteers involved in the 4-H program in Langlade County.
