CUSTER, Wis. (AP) -- Want to cut energy costs?

You may find some ideas at the 20th annual Midwest Renewable Energy Fair in central Wisconsin that opens Friday.

The fair at the Renew the Earth Institute near Custer runs through Sunday and is expected to attract more than 22,000 visitors interested in clean energy and sustainable living.

Organizer Amy Heart says 300 exhibitors are signed up and there will be workshops on how people can incorporate cheap, energy efficient changes into their lives.

One workshop will explain the process of converting a diesel car to run on vegetable oil. Another forum will show people how to check the walls of their homes for air leaks.

General admission is $15.
