Spring is here, and so is everything that comes with it

Welcome to our new blogs!

I have to say that I am very excited that spring is really, finally here.  There is nothing like being able to have the windows and patio doors open..  and coming home or waking up to the scent of spring.  I have to admit that during the winter I keep my windows closed and my blinds shut.. so seeing the sun really doesn't happen for me unless I leave my apartment. My cat, Dude, is also ecstatic that spring is here because his mom actually lets him play out on the deck on his own.. since the snow and ice are gone.  So, he sits on top of my patio table like a statue, watching the traffic go by,  and he loves watching kids play outside too.  As long as he doesn't get too curious and decide to start jumping down to the ground and close to the road, I'm happy to let him have his kitty freedom.

So, those are some of the things I enjoy about spring.  But there are other things about the season I may not enjoy as much.  First.. are my allergies.  I am just miserable.  I keep going into work and feel bad for poor Jeff who sits next to me as I sniffle and sneeze all day.. it has to get annoying!  My nose and eyes are red, my throat is scratchy, and the pressure in my sinuses is unbelievable.  I'm sure many, many, of you out  there know what I am talking about.  If you have any good remedies.. please, please let me know.

And of course with Spring comes spring cleaning.  I am a neat-freak when it comes to my actual apartment, so I have to have that clean every day, all day long.  I'm not so good when it comes to my vehicles.  I have an old car that I drove during the winter that I am planning on selling now while I still can.. and the only thing that is keeping me from doing so, is the fact that I have to clean it out.. it is a mess! I just can't motivate myself to set aside a day on the weekend to clean it out, and vacuum it out, even though I know it would only take a couple of hours.  I also have to do the annual cleaning out the closets. I must make room in there, or I can't buy another thing.  But again, I just can't motivate myself to do that either.. and I'm not sure why.  Maybe it's because the way it is, I spend a majority of every weekend cleaning, doing dishes, and doing laundry.. because again, I'm a neat freak :)  Oh well, I'm sure I'll get everything done at some point.. maybe next spring? ha! What about you?  What do you like or dislike about spring.. or do you have any interesting spring cleaning stories you'd like to share? Let me know!

I know exactly how you feel. I am the same way when it comes to cleaning. I can't stand a messy place. My friends call me Mr. Independant. But its nice to meet someone who takes pride in the way their place looks. trust me been to some places i just want to turn around and walk out. Yes I too love spring...but when all the trees start to blossum..my allergies flare up. With the medicine I'm on, there is nothing I can take for, so I have to suffer. I dont think its motivation, i think its all the work you put in on a daily basis, wether it be at work, home or where ever, your just plain wore out. Just remember it will always be there tomorrow, you'll get around to it.
