I think summer school has become a baby sitter and isn't what it was originally intended for, kids who needed some extra help. Its a waste of our tax payer money. Why don't the school districts consider scaling it back to what it was with no freebie bussing. That might help with their budget dilemas and save the tax payers some money. |

i work at a school and i have kids. I pay taxes and if my kids need help i'll go ont the internet and get some sheets to help them, if kids really need help then yes i'll take them to summer school

I pay taxes... do you or are you another that doesn't want to work and collect off me? Do you have kids? then you would see the importance of the "extra help" that kids need. It is a waste of time and it no longer serves a useful purpose for which that time was designed for. We are losing ground in our childrens education to foreign countries. I guess our politicians and school administration would rather see our kids stand on street corners all summer. |
