Here's one that few have considered. No.1 This so called war on terror should be defined with a little more accuracy. Lets first consider that this was not an attack (9-11) by a nation but rather a bunch of thugs who have no concern for life. This should be handled by Interpol and not the miltary. This unconscionable act of cowardice should be considered what it is international MURDER. Ergo - INTERPOL not the military. Now then,#2, lets consider our troops in harms way. Specfically the Sgt. allegedly involved in five murders of his own. Lets further consider Lt. Calley in Nahm, further those Marines (since found not guilty) in Iraq. I feel that something needs to be said in defense of any soldier that commits what we back here in our comfortable little recliners refer to as despicable acts. I think that those who would sit in judgment of our troops in combat (not one tour of duty but three or more)should stop and consider that it is not a normal thing to kill anyone, I mean anyone, without it affecting ones psyche. I am appaled when I see the media overplaying this for the grandstanding purpose of selling air time or ink. Tell you what, boys and girls - YOU go and do what these boys are be commanded to do day after day and see how you react to life after (or during) combat. Lets just back the hell off! Lets LEAVE OUR TROOPS ALONE!!! |

Where did the war go? With Bush--all we heard was war. Now we have a bad President and the war has gone away.. The media is looking pretty bad. A real pathic group! Posted by: Anonymous Thats what they signed up for was to defend our country RIGHT? And all of them are doing one hell of a job. My hat goes off to those that can do that every day. I pray that the BS stops. How about we stop finding things to pick a fight about in other countries and fight for our own? Posted by: Kevin Hey Anonymous - Oooohrah Posted by: Kevin Location: Phillips Completely agree! with "Anonymous". The draft, although I don't like the idea, per se, is a necessary evil. It puts those who diagree in the service. Disagreement is good. Good men can disagree. Agreed? Posted by: Anonymous Location: Wausau I agree. We have no perspective of what they’re are going through and the numerous tours borders abuse. Let’s bring them home. I’m not in favor of draft’s; however, that would give the critics an accurate view of war/occupation. |
