Another thought, I believe if the thug that thought about raping your loved one knew that person maybe carrying a gun, the thug may think twice about commiting the crime. I understand that there are some people in society that should not be allowed to carry a firearm. That is diffucult to enforce. Another thought, millions carry pocket knives. That is a concealed weapon.

Here are the facts. In the state of Wisconsin a person can carry a weapon (gun) on their person if it is visible anyways. Some local cities or counties have ordiances against it but that goes against the constitution. If people really understood that it is legal for them to carry a firearm as long as its not concealed then the carrying concealed wouldn't be such an issue. I can carry a firearm on my hip in a holster and the government can't do a damn thing about it as long as it is visible to the public. There was some exeptions such as carrying it in government buildings and schools. Which I agree with. Beside every American should carry a firearm. Wake up people!! When the crazed gun man walks into your kids school and started shooting are you going to stand by and wait for the local cops. Hell no I will be first through the doors to take the S.O.B out. We the people are the police.

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to carry a weapon. I don't understand why anyone feels the need to exercise their free speech rights. We are not living in the wild west - we are civilized. In today's world the only place for free speech should be in well controlled/sanitized environments. You don't need to practice free speech anywhere that I don't think you should. If you want to engage in free speech on private property or in your own home, that is your choice, but the rest of us should not be subjected to your views and the aggravation those words create.

I don't understand why anyone feels the need to carry a weapon. We are not living in the wild west days. In today's world the only place for guns should be during hunting season. You don't need a gun to shoot your food in a grocery store and since we are supposed to be civilized, you don't need a gun in any other public place. If you want to have a weapon in your home, that is your choice, but the rest of us shouldn't have to be subjected to the unnecessary intimidation that open carry can create.

I support open carry, as do alot of people, the only reason it is even being discussed is because we have a flaming liberal, anti-gun governor and liberal police cheif who think they are above the law.

Anonymous wrote "Why does a person feel the need to carry one" Issues?" There are "issues" with alot of people. I would prefer to protect myself in the event somebody elses issues threaten my personal saftey. Millions of guns did'nt kill anyone today.

If the C.C.W. is so bad how come Illinois and Wisconsin are the only two states without it??? Next with Michigan being one of the first to adopt it why no incident???

I do not because people become different when they have a weapon and that is scary. My question, "Why does a person feel the need to carry one" Issues?

Open carry is no problem, other than getting someone excited. Me. I'm for C.C.W. Our Gov. on the other hand? Me thinks he needs replacing. We are one of only two states in the Union that does not acknowledge it. Why? See My coment above.

I so support OC. If I saw someone walking with a holstered handgun, I'd probably talk to them about whatever handgun they were carrying and be on my merry way.
