I know, technically it first started in the third week in June. But for all intents and purposes, it's already past the 4th of July and the summer is half over. Where is the time going?
Hope you had a good 4th. I went to my hometown of Campbellsport for the Independence Day Parade put on by the fire department. It was great, as usual. Even though it was a 2 t-shirt day. That means, I changed from my sweat-soaked first shirt after the parade into my second for a party afterward.
My Pops got a new knee put in last week. He's doing well. My Ma had her's replaced 5 years ago. It's amazing to see the procedure has changed in that short amount of time.
So, this weekend we have the Hodag County Music Festival, Wausau Balloon Rally and Iola Old Car Show going on, just to name a few. If you can't find something to do this weekend, it's your own fault.
I put in a new shrub/flower garden this weekend. It's 4 perennial shrubs surrounded by some wave petunias. It's in the middle of my back yard. I really wanted to put a burn pit there, but city law won't let me because it's not far enough away from my garage and the neighbor's garage. It's not too late to plant and stuff is REALLY cheap right now as stores close our their plants. That new shrub/flower garden cost me less than $30.
For a while a few weeks ago, it looked like the Brewers were turning things around. Watching them now, I guess that was a fluke. Love Ryan Braun, but man he has looked just silly at the plate, lately hasn't he?
I guess that's about it. Anything on your mind? You know what to do.
