You Gotta Hear This Song!

Hi all.

Thanks for all the kind words about my series, "The Trip of a Liftime" about WWII Veterans trip to Washington, DC with the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.  I knew when my preacher mentioned it at church yesterday, we had touched people with the coverage.  But, then again, how could we not with that subject matter?

Mr. Brokaw is right in calling them The Greatest Generation.  While all our soldiers deserve it when we say "they fought for our freedom,"  WWII era people REALLY deserve it.  I shutter to think what the world would have been like if The Allies hadn't won.

So, over the weekend, while I was still feeling the emotions left over from the Honor Flight, I got sent an e-mail that contains a song done by some third graders at Tussing Elementary School in Virginia.  It pays tribute to all our soldiers and it would have brought tears to my eyes even if I hadn't gone along for the trip.

Here's a link to the song and the story behind it, courtesy of Education World.

Enjoy and have your Kleenix ready!
