I don't know what to make of the bail out.
On one side I know it makes me angry. I mean, in spite of a couple bankers telling me I could afford a lot more of a home than what I bought, I bought a small home well beneath my means anyway. And now my tax dollars should go to bail out people who bought those 6-bedroom, 3-bath, 4-car garage mansions they couldn't afford in the first place!?!? I don't think so! On top of that, what do the top dogs at the failing companies make? Millions. But yet, those of us who live paycheck to paycheck are going to be the ones to foot the bill for their bad decisions. Or is it criminal decisions?
And do you trust the government to do the right thing? Hardly. Who's right? The Democrats? The Republicans? I think I believe Grandpa Thelen the most when he said they're all crooks and we shouldn't trust any of them.
But on the other hand, if we don't do the bailout, will things get even worse? Are we looking at runs on banks and another depression.
May be the word should depressing instead of depression.
