Can't We All Just Get Along

CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

This blog is short and too the point.

Washington has been at a stand still since the Carter Administration.

Madison couldn't get it's act together enough to get a state budget enacted on time.

Perhaps we expect it at those levels.

Now, it seems to be hitting Wausau City Hall.

I don't know who's right or wrong in this whole Mayor Should Apoint to Committees VS Committee Should Appoint Committees thing that's going on right now.

All I know is that there's too much work to be done to get mired in this kind of us vs. them nonsense.

Reach a compromise and get back to work.

J

Jeff - Great topic and I couldn't agree more. There is so much to accomplish, yet we continue to encounter more and more of wheel-spinning type politics. Maybe our local government should have a daily deadline workplace such as you and your staff does. If you slack on the job or spend too much time pondering, editing, writing, etc. and do not complete your work by 5pm, 6pm and 10pm daily, it would greatly show in your newscast. 10's of 1000's of people would notice it immediately, and you would more than likely have to apologize publicly on tv for your shortcomings. Maybe if Mayor Tipple and his staff had to apologize publicly every day to the 1000's of people their daily failures affect, they would become a bit more sensible in their decision-making and immediately accountable for those decisions. Instead, we watch the finger-pointing and and poor management - by all whom are serving us - in favor of results and progress. Keep up the great work. Jay
