On the Red Carpet for Fired Up!

On Thursday February 19^th, I was on the red carpet for the premiere of Fired Up, from Sony Pictures. In Fired Up, Shawn (Nicholas D'Agosto) and Nick (Eric Christian Olsen), the stars of the Gerald R. Ford High School football team, are dreading the prospect another summer at football camp, but then Nick hatches a scheme for the two to join their school's cheerleaders at cheer camp instead. It was the first Red Carpet I have been to that was patrolled by policeman on a horse. I’m not sure why they were on horseback, but you can bet I was watching where I was stepping!

The carpet was slow until just before the scheduled start time: then the line of limo’s rolled up and here they came. …

A highlight was Adhir Kalyan, who I also interviewed a few weeks ago on the red carpet at Paul Blart: Mall Cop. His energy is contagious - he always says something out of the norm. This time, he livened things up by answering each question in a different accent!

Most fun was Andrew J. West who is starring in a new online TV show, "Rockville, CA". He was invited on the carpet to support his girlfriend, Amber Stevens, who plays “Sara”, a Mall Girl. After I talked to him for a few minutes, Amber joined us, and I turned the mic over to Andrew and let him interview Amber. They had a great time with it, and it’s always interesting to see celebrities interacting casually with each other, instead of giving standard responses.

The two female leads, Sarah Roemer and AnnaLynne McCord, were also very down-to-earth and friendly*. You can see all these interviews, and more, on the webchannel wsaw.com !

I haven't been so entertained... by something on an entertainment page in a long time! The write up on on "Who is Forrest Kelly" made me laugh! :) Enjoyed the video from the "Twilight" red carpet! Just from the brief video, he seemed to get beyond the "canned" responses from the stars and that was refreshing and fun. Wondering when we might get to see the video he mentions from the "Fired Up" red carpet? He also mentioned being on the red carpet for "Mall Cop"... do you have any video from that? Thanks!

Wow! I might actually go see this movie after watching this interview! Thanks to Forrest for the great interviews, capturing the essence of the celebs. His unique style made me want to see more. :-)

Can't wait for "Fired Up" to reach Down Under.Having seen Forrest Kelly's Red Carpet interviews it looks like a really funny movie. Loved the interview with Adhir. lol..he almost perfected the Aussie accent. Well done mate! Forrest also has a knack for getting the celebs to open up and be natural and so gets quirky responses. High fives all around for this one.
