My First Blog at NewsChannel 7

Hello again.

After a short break, I’m happy to once again have the chance to visit with all of you in central and northcentral Wisconsin.

For those of you who may not be aware, for over 18 years I worked for another media outlet in Wausau. That came to an abrupt end at the end of August. I’ve since been fortunate enough to get a new opportunity here at Newschannel 7. Yes, it does seem strange to write that and it will take awhile for me to get used to it, so please bear with me.

One of the things I’m looking forward to is the return of my product testing. That’s where I take those “As Seen On TV” item you always see advertised and try them out to answer the question “Is It Worth It?”. The rules are simple: I get the product and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to see if it does what they claim. I figure if a guy like me can make it work – then anybody can. After its over, I’ll let you know if it’s worth it (although after seeing it in action, you’ll probably have already made up your mind). It’s a segment you’ll see several times a year and will get underway Thursday, October 15^th, at 5 and 10. This first one – a toothpaste dispenser you hang on the wall or mirror. We’ll see you then. In the meantime, feel free to let me know if there’s something out there you’ve seen advertised on TV and wondered about.
