The George Halas Trophy Gets a Makeover

The Packers and Bears will battle for possession of the George Halas trophy and a Super Bowl berth on Sunday.

Since 1984, the winner of the NFC Championship has won the trophy named after the Bears coaching legend.

But the trophy has received a makeover.  The NFL wanted the AFC and NFC trophies to take on the look of the Vince Lombardi trophy, which goes to the Super Bowl winner.

    I too think it looks cheap. I have seen better looking trophies at a middle school basketball tournament. If they want to keep the looks of the new Trophy they could make it better by making it open up to put the signed game ball inside forever. Now that would be a unique trophy to display.
