Manny Ramirez returns to the Dodgers Friday night after serving a 50-game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. And you'll also see the ultimate hypocrisy in sports. Dodger fan no doubt booed Barry B
onds mercilessly the last 5 years. Everyone did.
Maybe we dont care. Maybe we're numb to the thought of steroids and other PED's in baseball. For that, Manny, Alex Rodriguez and others should thank Barry Bonds for paving the road for all the other cheaters. Until next time...
Media and fans alike have poured on Bonds, who never tested positive for anything, although there's another 102 names that we dont know yet from the 2003 testing...the grand jury testimony not included.
Point being, Manny seems to be getting a free pass. His games in the minor leagues the last week have been big draws. He may get booed by a few of the fans in San Diego, but what about across the rest of the league? The Dodgers visit Milwaukee next week.
So why not as much backlash for Manny?
