If you haven't read or heard, WCCO in minneapolis, the cbs affiliate, is reporting that Brett Favre will be in Vikings camp and that a deal appears to already be in place, with the contract being incentive based.  And they've already ordered purple #4 jerseys with Favre's name on it.

That being said, i have to show

you this e-mail i got from my mother-in-law a couple days ago.

There's a picture of Favre putting on the purple helmet.  The title of the picture is "Senior Living."

The captioning says--"old football players don't have to retire, they can go to the Vikings where no one expects them to win anything."  I thought that was pretty funny.  And it has nothing to do with me being anti-Favre, anti-Vikings, Packer-lover or any of that other stuff.  It's just a funny picture that I thought you would appreciate as well.

Hey Dale I thought u were gonna have blogs about Brett retiring finally( I hope). I'm one of the biggest Favre fans out there ( and still am). I am so glad he decided not to play anymore, esp for the vikes, would have been hard to seee him in purple and he saved me money by not playing anyway. I know i would have bought a favre viking jersey since i have a favre jets jersey. I have a trivia packer question for u. Hope u dont mind me asking. Four times last season the Packers had a defensive player record double digits in solo tackles in one game. One player did it twice. Who was it? This will give u something to do this week. hahaha Just kidding. One more thing GO PACK GO!!

Favre had no right to string the Vikings along all summer then retire again on the eve of training camp. Favre made the Packers look absolutely correct how they handled him last year. No team should allow themselves to be dictated to by any individual. This is precisely what happens when you do. Now the Vikings are faced with alot of damage control.

I can't wait to hear them laughing..ummm..I mean crying when their team finishes under .500 for a 2nd consecutive year and Favre leads the Vikings to the playoffs

Well, it didn't take long for Favre to totally irritate the Vikings with his wishy washy actions. I can hear Thompson and McCarthy laughing all the way from Green Bay. The only thing Favre needs done at the hospital is to have his head examined !

Posted by: Rick I couldnt agree more with "AC". Iam waiting for the "big announcement" about how they will make a deal to cover all vikings cames played against AFC teams. What a joke that was last year without question!!!
