My name is...

After working with Amy Pflugshaupt the past 3 and half years, you would think she would remember my name. Especially since, when we were doing the morning show this week, we were no more than 10 feet away from each other. While I give her a hard time on this again, she is not the only person to make this mistake. I will never admit to her, but I did something very similar years ago, in a galaxy far, far away (meaning a different station). I had just spent 3 years working a morning show, and then moved to nights and then was called in a few weeks later to fill in on a morning show. So, during the show open, the news anchor at that time announced the welcome to the show, and then I read the teleprompter and announced that I was the girl that normally did the show, instead of my name. So, it came out "and I'm meteorologist Laurie .... " and I just froze on camera. Needless to say, I was pretty embarrassed for all of a few minutes and then it was back to the task at hand. I don't usually razz on Amy too much, but in this case, why not? :) Shhhh, don't anyone tell her that I have done about the same thing before, I like keeping her in the dark about all of my mistakes I have made through the years. Ha ha ha
