Going Back to School ...
Fifteen days after an EF3 tornado hit parts of Merrill (and other communites), I was invited to talk to Mrs. Schmidt's Class at Merrill High School about forecasting and especially, severe weather.
We had a chance to discuss the basics of forecasting and showed the students a way to "forecast" within a few minutes... at least get a preliminary idea of what the weather will do for the day.
In addition we touched on climate issues and what the outlook for summer was.
A big thank you for the invitation to talk at Merrill High School, all within a few weeks of their devastating tornado.
