Average First Snowfall(s)

As we continue to get closer to our first 1" snowfall accumulation for the year, let's recap the average first snowfall(s) for a few communities around the area. (courtesy: National Weather Service- Green Bay)


Average first .1" snowfall

St. Germain- Oct. 31

Wausau- Nov. 5

Merrill and Rhinelander- Nov. 7

Antigo and Marshfield- Nov. 9

Wisconsin Rapids- Nov. 16

 

Average first 1" snowfall

St. Germain- Nov. 3

Rhinelander- Nov. 11

Antigo, Marshfield and Merill- Nov. 13

Wausau- Nov. 14

Wisconsin Rapids- Nov. 23

 

Average first 3" snowfall

St. Germain- Nov. 20

Antigo- Nov. 28

Rhinelander- Nov. 30

Merrill- Dec. 1

Wausau- Dec. 3

Marshfield- Dec. 5

Wisconsin Rapids- Dec. 9

 

We're still on track to receive some cooler weather and some snow showers this upcoming weekend.... but it may be too warm for a 1" snow event. So, statitistically speaking, we're running about normal for snowfall for early November, if not a bit behind.
