Update:
Wednesday Night may be an encore performance for the Northern Lights... while they may not be as good as the show last night (for the few of you that didn't have clouds)... there should be enough clear skies tonight to make the viewing worthwhile.
Get outside of the city limits, look north ... best time for viewing is as soon as it is completely dark... after 9pm and through the overnight period. I'm not as certain this will be as good as of show from last night, but it's worth a shot if you're up late and have access to get away from city lights.... Enjoy!
If you grab some pics, please share them with us: http://wsaw.mycapture.com/mycapture/photos/index.aspx
Thanks

It's one of those nights again, where we may be able to see the Northern Lights glimmer across the beautiful northern sky from right here in Wisconsin.
Best viewing is always outside the city limits and in the darkest part of the area you can find... of course looking northward. You will see a glimmer of blues, greens and some yellows in the northern sky tonight as the Auroral Activity increases later this evening.
While it is not uncommon to see the Northern Lights in this part of Wisconsin, we are going to benefit from solar eruptions from this past weekend, as a way to help enhance the night-time activity.
There are a few factors that may hamper the view a bit... 1) cloud cover- as we will have some clouds around the area and 2) the amount of moisture in the sky,,, which may allow some deep and dense fog to develop.
The map below gives you an idea of how far south this activity may come later tonight.
Enjoy!
