Finally to the Doctor....

I've always been one of those kind of people that usually go to the doctor as a last resort to get things looked at. It's not because I am afraid of the doctor's office or anything like that, I am just a person that thinks my illness(es) are usually minor and that I'll get over it.  I have done that a few times over the years, and playing football in college, you never felt 100% during the season.  Went a few months before figuring out I had a broken wrist one time!  LOL   I don't like taking medications and other than a daily vitamin, but I expected to get at least one thing out of this visit..  I have been running all over the past month, taking on a few part time jobs on the side, etc.. just busy like all of you and getting less than 6 hours of sleep a night, so I never made time for the doctor until earlier this week.

Well, having said that.... about a month ago I thought I was catching a cold, so I grabbed a few cough drops, Zicam, some tissues, and lots of orange juice and got ready for it to settle in and got ready to give it a good fight.  That was the first few days of October,,, and 3 weeks later, finally figured out that I should probably seek some help - especially since my chest/abs were sore from coughing all the time!  What a great ab workout !?!  LOL

After a quick visit on Monday, the doctor had me all set up with inhalers, pills and Mucinex to get over it. I have never used an inhaler before, so taking several of these things a day has been a chore while doing a thousand things at once. One thing I have enjoyed this week is my affinity for soup,  YUMMY!

In any case, my suggestion is to anyone that feels a bit under the weather, go to the doctor and don't wait for your body to fight it off without help!  Do not wait 4 weeks like I did, for this stuff I have has run amok and has my doctor concerned enough that I have all these drugs and steroids to help my body get over this.

Stay healthy y'all!
