I would like to invite i-Phone and i-Pod Touch users to download the latest thing to happen to wsaw.com.... WSAW's application for your i-Phone/i-Pod Touch users! It's very easy to do... you can go to your applications... type in: wsaw and download and install our application. It is free from us for you to use...
There is more information by going to: www.wsaw.com/station/misc/61516092.html
While I didn't know much about either device a few months ago, I have come to like working with them and our NewsChannel 7 iPod application! You can download it at the i-Tunes store as well... free of charge from NewsChannel 7! You can get the latest news, weather forecasts and Titan Radar, and sports all on this great application!
Now- related to Apple (kind of).. NewsChannel 7 is losing one of its valuable members of its staff... today (sadly) is Andrew Murphy's (Murph as I call him) last day with your station. I know what you're thinking... "who the heck is Andrew Murphy?" ... he's the one that was responsible for creating, writing and editing various NewsChannel 7 commercials that you see on television. He does great work, is very creative and will be missed by those of us at the station. Now, how is that related to the Apple/iPhone application? To help develop and work on the application, I had to borrow his phone over the past few months (especially few weeks- see next paragraph) to look at what was being added to the application and how it would look on those devices. Best of luck in your future in Minneapolis dude!
I was also borrowing another former NewsChannel 7 employee's iPhone... but she left a few weeks ago to go back to school, so I had to "steal" Murph's phone all the time. We miss you very much Brooke Sperry and hope that you are enjoying classes once again as you continue to finish up college! Brooke is one of those "jack of all trades" type people ... worked in news and also worked with "Murph" on making commercials. I really miss you and our chats girl and I will spring for lunch sometime when you wanna go. (assuming you ever read this) :)
Their office is/was located towards the back of the building and I would go back there daily to chill with them a few minutes of our hectic days. These two people are excellent workers, and commonly gave 110%, even though technically 110% isn't possible. Best of luck you two! I will miss seeking refuge in your office with y'all! Now, you've stuck me seeking refuge with Patrick Dailey! LOL ha ha ha.
