The National Weather Service is looking for a few good men ... and women

Posted: Fri 11:39 AM, Aug 21, 2009

The National Weather Service in Green Bay is looking for a few good men and women to help conduct weather observations in this area. They are looking for help with daily observations in Waupaca and Shawano Counties... for more information: www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory.php

Other than that, it's been a very active weather week across the Upper Midwest after a slow month of July. There were multiple reports of weak tornadoes from Wednesday around the Twin Cities area. You can read more www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory.php

Indications are that we'll have a fairly quiet week next week, as we round out the month of August and head into that first weekend of September. It's hard to believe that we're almost done with summer... kids are going back to school and classes start shortly. I'm actually kind of saddened to see a lot of my fellow castmates from High School Musical 2 head off to college, some for the first time (Josh Wurster heading off to St. Cloud State to study Meteorology of all things... keep in touch!) and some for their continuing education (Kacey, Jason, Joey, Bobby, et al)... I wish y'all the best of success and keep in touch as well.

Now- for those of you looking back at your summer.... what did you accomplish? Did you do everything you wanted to? Did you get a chance to? Are you looking forward to fall? Football season?  Packers... Vikings with #4 at the helm?
