My Colorado Rockies continue to surge, sweeping the Mariners today with another convincing win.  I'm torn on the Brewers/Rox series, since many of you are Brewers fans, and they are my #2 team, but I'm a die-hard Rockies fan and let's face it, there aren't many of us around... especially in this county!   Today's game was delayed by a Tornado Warning for the Denver Metro area, so not only did I get to watch baseball online, I also was watching the radar and a few of the tv stations out there that stream through the internet... just like the good ol' SAW here at NewsChannel 7.   See, we're big market in a lot of ways!   ha ha ha.   I also had the pleasure of sitting in the first row behind the Rockies dugout at Miller Park and even got Clint Barmes to tip his cap and mouth the words "thank you" when I was screaming for him before the game started.... yup, I'm a total kid at games like that!

Even with 11 wins in a row, they are still just below .500 (31-32 as of this writing) and well behind the hot Manny-less Dodgers who sit at 42-22 as of today, which is by far the best record in baseball.  Go Rockies!

Our championship softball team took one on the chin today as our 2 run lead evaporated in the bottom half of the 7th inning and eventually got beat that inning... unlike the previous 3 wins where I played just okay, I had a relatively good game today, yet we are saddled with the loss.  I keep a schedule of any sports I play in, after playing that game, I write down my stats, and give myself a grade on how I did.  My previous best softball game was a C+, tonight, I graded myself a solid B.   For comparison's sake, I only graded myself with 2 B's all of last year and never gave myself an A.  So, a B is about the best I will give myself in softball.

Oh well, it's still early in the season and a lot can be done to continue our winning ways in softball... and I hope the Rockies continue to remain hot until the All Star break.... Go Rockies!

Watched you from the other "dugout"/Team tonight.. you don't give youreself enough credit, you easily played at a A level. Your fellow outfielder did not, but it is a long season, I wish your team well, until we play you again. You are much cuter in person in those softball pants to!

ugh... no to the softball pants. I dunno if I deserved an A.. but it was better than my previous efforts! LOL
