Well, it's here... it's finally here... Digital Television has arrived to central and northcentral Wisconsin. It's been a long road to this transition and it's about to start.
Let me first post a bevvy of phone numbers for you to call should you have questions about it:
Our Local DTV Hotline is: 845-3532. This will be manned from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. We will only have this number for this week.
After Wednesday February 18, 2009 you can call either:
Wisconsin Public TV : 800-422-9707 .... their hours are:
Monday and Tuesday: 9am to 4:30pm
Wednesday - Friday: 9am to 9pm
Saturday: 10:30am to 6:30 pm
Sunday: 12:00pm to 7:30 pm
and the FCC: 888-225-5322.
What I ask/plead/beg of you is comments and concerns you may have concerning this change. If you don't want them posted here, or want to send me a personal email, it's : firstname.lastname@example.org
or you can email our engineering staff at email@example.com
In addition, I am in the process responding to all blog comments and questions under all the various stories over the past month.
Another thing I'd love to hear from you.... have you been watching DTV before now? Are you noticing better reception after the flip? Right now 7.1 is running just under 50% power... after 11:55pm tonight, it will be 100%. Do you live in an area where you couldn't see 7.1 before? Are you finally seeing 7.2 My TV and 7.3 24/7 and never could before?
I ask for all your help in letting us know where you live and if you can now see us when you couldn't before. You don't have to list your specific address... I am curious as to how many new areas 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3 will reach into.
