Our promotions people are great people, and they do such a good job. They're fun loving and good spirited lads, and on occasion, like to have some fun... at my expense. To be honest with you, I think it's great. Here's my "new" 4 second ID (these air right at the top of the hour, basically all of the talent saying "you're watching NewsChannel 7".
Because of my goatee, one of our promotions peeps (Patrick Dailey) made me a new one.... ENJOY!
In addition, sometimes these "funny" promotions get leaked out to the internet and then they go mainstream, such as the link below... I don't think it ever aired (after watching, you'll see why) ... but it's downright hilarious and worth the 35 second playback! This station is in Connecticut...
