31.7 inches of snow is the record amount for December for Wausau... and depending on the weekend storm system and one for Tuesday of next week, we may just see the record fall.
Wausau has picked up 30.5 inches of snow so far for the winter season, which is just over 1/2 of what the average seasonal snowfall is in Wausau. (avg. is 58.6 inches).
So, where were we last year at this time... remember last season's snowfall was in the top 10.... last year at this time, Wausau had only received 18.5 inches of snow, and we still ended up with over 70 for the season.
Does this mean we'll easily beat last season's total? Do we get over 100 inches of snow for the season? January and March are 2 of the top 3 for snow for the year...
Those are all good questions... I'll have the answer to them sometime in May. :)
