Thanksgiving ... time to reflect on what has happened this year and time to remember what I am thankful for.  This is the part of the year where I usually find myself wearing down a bit from a long summer and fall... and where I think that my life isn't really going the way I want it to.  Extreme stress from work, long/crazy hours, lack of time with family and friends, lack of seeing my parents (only see them once a year), heartache from failed relationships, questionmarks about my health ...  everything that really drags me down just before the end of the year.  I'm lucky in a way, I can hide my emotions pretty well ... when have you seen me have a bad day on tv?   LOL

However, it normally takes a day called Thanksgiving, to get me to realize how good I really have it in life.  I know there are a lot of people that have it a lot worse than I do ... I have colleagues in the television world that have lost their jobs in the past month, I have friends that have worse health issues than myself and I have a friend that lost his spouse this past year.

So, while I find it easy to feel down and almost sorry for myself .... I am reminded that I, in fact, don't have it that bad and that I should be thankful for all that I have.  I have a job, I have a vehicle, I have a roof over my head, I have some really good friends, I have some really great co-workers and I have a great family.... there are people that can not say the same.

What are you thankful for?

Well, I lost my job this year, had emergency surgery and my car has 200,000 miles on it and we cant afford a new one. Yet, I have a wonderful, supportive family, we own our home, my kids are in great health and I am making a come back. It will just take a little longer than expected. I have every day to be thankful for. On a lighter note, it would be really noce to see you back on daybreak!!

I am sorry to hear of your misfortune. I can tell you're optimistic about the future and what it holds... a winning attitude is more than half the battle. Remain focused and optimistic!
It was good to be back for a few days.

Chad, I'm in the same boat as you, with everything you mentioned above. Thanksgiving hit me like a ton of bricks this year, realizing the Holiday season is approaching and family is 800 miles away. Please remember God above, you do have His hand on your shoulder. As of New Year's Eve, I want to bury the past and start what I hope can be a bright future. There's someone reaching out to you right now, but I'll just remain anonymous... All I'll say is "Pittsburgh rocks, go Steelers!" (I know the city well.) Have a great day today.

Go Steelers is right. I think everyone gets in a little rut once in a while, it's how you pull out of it and continue forward that really makes a difference. I look forward to the new year.
Yes, go Steelers.. Pittsburgh is a beautiful city.

Posted by: Anonymous would be alot more thankful if you were the daybreak weather man again LOL I am very thankful for my children and their health and also a great husband and a roof over our head also.

Your wish is granted... spending a few days on DayBreak... LeeAnn will be back later this week.
Sometimes you just have to sit back and look at what you have and realize that you really don't have it all that bad.
