I throw that question out there about the way to floss your teeth... because up until my dental visit this past week, I really didn't know/understand/learn the correct way to floss my teeth. I guess it's something that I learned years ago while being "just a kid"... but have really lost touch over the years with the whole point of flossing and how to do it properly.
See, I was the person that would floss by just taking the dental floss, pushing it between my teeth and that was "flossing". Well, after my checkup with Dr. C here in town, I realized that I'm not quite doing it correctly. See, in order for flossing to be effective, you need to get the floss down below the gum line and you also need to brush the gums pretty good as well.
Here's the The American Dental Hygenists' Association website on how to correctly floss. http://www.adha.org/oralhealth/flossing.htm
Other than needing to floss, I'm happy to report that my checkup went just fine.... thanks Dr. C !
