First Frost of the Year? It's possible...

If we drop low enough to get the first frost of the year in north-central Wisconsin, it would certainly be early for this year... but not necessarily a record.  Record lows right now are running in the lower 30's, so while it may be a bit early if we get a frost, it won't necessarily be the earliest we have ever had a freeze.

In case you're wondering... the earliest freeze (28 degrees) in Wausau is August 30th, which has back in 1915.  After early Monday morning's frost chance across the Northwoods... temps should moderate for the rest of the week and into the weekend.

On a side note, most of the softball and volleyball leagues around the area are winding down this week and next.  I've been on the same softball team for 4 of the past 6 years... our first season we won 1 game... this year, we clinched a championship with tonight's win.  Congrats to all of the players this year at SunnyVale... look forward to seeing y'all again next year.
