What Does a Pinkie Do?
After breaking a pinkie during last night's volleyball games, I am wondering what they are used for?   (Before we go any further, according to Dictionary.com, pinkie or pinky is acceptable for the spelling of it!)

I had a few comments this morning on it... anything from helping you to write smoothly when you hold a pen or pencil in your hand to using it for pinkie swears.

In any case, when you do things like break them, there's very little you can do to help the situation.  I broke my left pinkie no less than 3 times in one year while growing up in Montana.  Football was to blame for 2 of them, my older brother Scott, was another time.  By the way, to this day, he still swears he "didn't mean to".  LOL   Anyway, the left pinkie that I have broken and shattered so many times, is a bit disfigured I guess you could say.  I know you can get splints and then tape the pinkie to it and wear that around for a few weeks with the pinkie fully extended... but that usually gets snagged on something or seems to be more susceptible to getting re-injured even with the splint on it.

The pinkie I broke last night is on my right hand... so thankfully, hopefully, this one won't end up the same way.  As I type this, I keep hitting the return key with it... LOL   Hurts to do!

Have a good weekend!
