The National Weather Service has released the snow totals from this past winter season for various areas throughout central and north-central Wisconsin. Overall, Wausau tied for the 8th snowiest winter on record... with 78.1" for the season. Another .10" of snow and we'd be tied at 7th snowiest.

The last time Wausau had just over 75" of snow and less than 80", it was the winter of 1990/1991. During that summer, it was relatively seasonal, if not a few degrees cooler than that. In addition, it was rather wet in the month of June then.
In the winter of 1995/1996, Wausau had it's second snowiest season on record with just over 100". That summer turned out to be fairly wet initially, with dry and somewhat cooler than normal temperatures the rest of that summer.
Who knows what we'll end up with for this summer, but for now, it looks just a bit cool to start with.
On a side note, I'm uber excited for Indiana Jones IV coming out in a few days. I've already purchased my tickets for the first midnight showing and am hopeful that after 19 year, this one measures up to the others. My guess is, it will.
