The Wausau Daily Herald is reporting the 2008 Wisconsin Valley Fair was a success. Although attendance was down slightly, officials did see an increase in ticket sales. Fair Administrator, Lisa Nipple says a combination of "good weather, diverse entertainment and positive media coverage helped make the fair a success."
Numerous NewsChannel 7 shows went live from the event during the week of July 29-August 3... including DayBreak. Amy Pflugshaupt and Lee Ann Okuly had continuous coverage of the fair in the mornings. We talked to 4-H members, event-goers and officials. If you missed any report from this past week, click on the Wisconsin Valley Fair tile on our Home Page.
Also, check out the link on Todd's Blog. It takes you to a two minute video about our experience at the Fair, Friday, August 1. We participate in a "Celebrity Butter Carving Contest," ride on the Mega Loop and taste fair food. You have to check it out!
Meanwhile, here are some additional photos from the fair.
