I think it's alright, and time, for all of us to move on and look forward to the football season.  Unless you are a Steelers fan (Franzen), you're probably at least a bit disappointed in how your favorite team fared.  Being that we're up here in Wisconsin... land of cheese... and of course home to the Packers, where do they need the most help??  The NFL combine is this weekend down in Indy and TT and McCarthy are starting to target potential candidates to fill the #9 pick that Pack own.  So what do they do with it?  My guess... Thompson trades it.  HA HA HA... but seriously, would it surprise you?  Not me.  I think the Packers will do everything in their power to address the D-line this off season.  Albert Haynesworth is going to be a free agent, do the Pack make a play for him??  Or do they turn their attention to possibly swinging a deal for Carolina D-end Julius Peppers and make him an OLB in the mold of Demarcus Ware in Dallas.  Ohh I love this time of year, so many rumors... so little time!!

Now that you've "called" me out on this, let me take a moment to respond. Nothing wrong with being a Steelers fan... been that way since I was just a little tyke and stuck with them through the rough years of the 80's. I didn't grow up in Wisc., otherwise I would have more than likely been a #1 Packer fan.. they are my #1 NFC team and #2 team overall... Now, I'm happy to see that the Pack is changing to the 3-4 and has brought former Steeler alumns Capers and Greene into the coaching mix. The 3-4 is designed to make your LB's studs and have your 3 front DL, eat up as many blockers as you can. You hope you have a NT that is a healthy 370 pounds or more to require a C/OG doubleteam on almost every play. A 3-4 LB out there with experience that is a FA, is Clark Haggans, who previously was with the Steelers and last year with the Cardinals. He may be cheap to get, since he was injured most of last year and he has a TON of experience in the 3-4 defense. Go PACK GO!

The way it looks the Packers are doing nothing with the free agents and we even lost some of our players. I hope they get rid of Thompson soon or we wont have a team. Get out the wallet Thompson! But with Thompson on board it wont happen!

I believe they will release Tauscher and Harris, which means they need to draft some people for those positions. I would be surprised if TT goes after any big-name free agnets since he's never done that before, and never will. They also need to get rid of Harrell and draft a better DT in his place (but that won't happen because it will make TT look like an idiot for drafting Harrell). I think their most important hire this off-season should be a punter that cana ctually get the ball more than 30 yards downfield.
